Nelson Remus

Nelson Remus

CEO

Nelson Remus, president and CEO of Remar Technologies Group, Inc., has directed manufacturing and engineering operations for corporations in the U.S., South America, and Europe. Originally a native of Venezuela, he earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee Tech and later studied finance and accounting at Wharton.

Remar was originally founded under the name “MEDIAmail” in 1995, providing duplication, packaging, and mailing of electronic media. The company was renamed “Remar” in mid-2011 to better reflect its evolving capabilities and services, providing integrated logistics, product fulfillment, retail distribution, packaging solutions, product rework, kitting and assembly, and interior and exterior signage.

Over time, it became clear that the TV Division of Remar was ready to thrive as its own company: Remar Technologies Group (RTG). As part of  that transition, Mr. Remus sold Remar to another owner and shifted his focus to RTG, where he serves as CEO.

Mr. Remus is a member of the Board for the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, a member of the University Medical Center Board of Trustees, and a member of EO Nashville. He has formerly held leadership roles and severed several organizations in Middle Tennessee including the Tennessee Latin American Chamber of Commerce (TLACC), Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, Tennessee State University’s Supply Chain Management program, Joint Economic & Community Development Board of Wilson County, Tri State Minority Suppliers Development Council (TMSDC), and Skanska Diversity Committee.

He and his family reside in Wilson County.
